Let's Go Fishing!

One of the items on Erik's Summer Bucket list was to go fishing. With summer rapidly disappearing, it seemed high time to head off to the lake. He made sure to get his gear together the night before and leave it on the counter ready to go.

I made a point to set my alarm, to make sure I would wake up. Then we headed off to the lake. He didn't catch anything, but he discovered how useful Mom's knitting and crocheting experience could be as I managed to untangle his line for him. 

He also got in some practice casting. 

 Overall, I think he had fun. He understands that this sport is called "fishing" not "catching". He did grab a rather large bucket in the hopes of filling it with a fish or two, though.
